We're thankful for...

Dave:

"My wife, my family, my brother Jake because I'm at his house playing his Wii, my HDTV, my DVR, my Wii Fit, my home, my Tahoe and my wife again."

Holly:

I'm thankful for ADOPTION because without it we would never get to experience being parents. I'm thankful for my friends and family and especially a wonderful husband who gets me and still loves me anyway. I'm thankful for the gospel and the peace and knowledge it brings to my life. I'm thankful for all of our blessings including the material things we have such as a nice townhouse, a newer vehicle that runs great, etc. I'm also thankful for our two dogs that can cause stress in my life, but have taught me a lot about patience.

We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

NKOTB!!!

The night that I've been waiting for since June has come and gone. It is hard to believe that it is already over! I went to see The New Kids On The Block last night with my friend Erin. We both had such a GREAT time!!! We had amazing seats as well!!! Being there screaming at those boys made me feel like I was 12 all over again. I was absolutely in love with them when I was a kid and got to see them in concert back then as well. In fact, that was probably my first and last big concert until last night. I came down with a cold middle of the week last week, but I wasn't about to let that stand in my way of seeing those boys again. I'm suffering today though with almost no voice. The price you pay...

Here are some pictures we got last night.

Outside the E-Center
(we weren't sure if they were going to let us take our cameras in)

Lady Gaga

Natasha Bedingfield

No zoom used
(we could see them sweating!!!)

Proof that we were sooooooo close!!

What an amazing night! Thanks Erin for going with me!!!

We're approved

We found out yesterday afternoon that we've been "approved" to adopt! This just means that the agency thinks we are capable and able people to raise a child. Now we begin our "waiting" period. When we are "picked" by a birth mom the agency will let us know. We couldn't be more excited about this opportunity and hope and pray our wait isn't long.

If you know of anyone or hear about anyone that is placing their baby for adoption, please tell them about us!!! Soon we will have an online profile through LDS Family Services that will be available for birth moms. We are also promoting this blog as another way to get to know us better.

Thanks again to all of you for your love, support and prayers! We deeply appreciate each one of you!!!

It's Over

We went to the final home game of the season for BYU football yesterday. "The BYU football team capped a remarkable third-straight undefeated home season with its 41-12 win over San Diego State on Saturday afternoon at LaVell Edwards Stadium (www.byucougars.com/football)."

Although I enjoyed the games, I do think that too much of a good thing is not always a good thing. I'm sure Dave on the other hand does not agree with me at all! We'll see what we decide next year and whether or not we go the All Sports Pass route again. On that same note, the BYU basketball season starts this Friday...from one sport to the other! We still have at least two more games of BYU football, but we can watch these from our comfy living room. Yay!

It's That Time Of The Year!

There isn't very much of it and it is really wet so it will melt pretty soon, but it is the first for the season and very exciting!
