You can tell who the photographer is...
in our family and it ain't Dave! Over spring break Dave went to a conference in Anaheim, California with BYU's Science Education Department and this is the only piece of memorabilia that he came home with! No pictures of the beach, nothing from Downtown Disney...
They stayed in Vegas on the way to and from California and he decided to take this lovely video of the Bellagio Hotel's water show with his cell phone. You have to tilt your head to the right to see it upright!

I hate spring...
Or at least this kind of spring I should say! I keep telling myself that I have to get used to spring in Utah, but at this moment I refuse. For Heaven's sake it is April 15th!!! I want the sun to shine and temps to be warm so I can wear shorts and flip flops. But instead, we are dealing with this today and it is only the beginning!

Latest project
Dave was out of town for a couple of days this week so I decided while he was gone I would re-do our half bath. We got a new light fixture a month or so ago and we've stared at the mismatched paint where the old light fixture was since then. It was finally driving me crazy so I decided to re-paint. The bathroom used to be a bright yellow. I decided to tone it down a little and go with a more neutral color. I think it turned out nice. I also heard about a company from my aunt that sells frames to put around boring basic mirrors to spice them up (Mirror Mates). We hung up the frame last night and it looks gorgeous!!!
It is REALLY hard to take pictures of that bathroom because it is so small. I also didn't want a picture of me taking a picture in the mirror so I had to be careful!!
This has nothing to do with our bathroom project, but I wanted to publicly say thank you to my sister-in-law Tonya. She did a post on her blog last fall about a swimsuit she bought that she absolutely loved. I decided to get one of these swimsuits for my upcoming cruise and absolutely love it too! The company is called Diivine ModesTee. If you need a swimsuit I would definitely recommend it! I couldn't figure out how to get a picture of my new swimsuit downloaded from their website so I just took a picture of the computer screen with the suit on there.

Broadening our horizons
We've been approved to adopt for about 5 months now. We've received a few calls from our caseworker about potential babies, but none of the situations have turned out to be the right one. When we first started this process we learned about an online adoption profile website (Parent Profiles) that we could be a part of to get our name out there more. There is a monthly fee involved so we decided that we would wait about six months first to see how things went without using this service.
A few weeks ago I decided that we weren't getting enough "activity" and asked Dave if he thought we could proceed with Parent Profiles earlier than originally planned. He gladly agreed. I'm happy to announce that our profile went live this morning and we've already received 45 profile hits!!! Impressive, huh? I'm crossing my fingers that this extra marketing effort will pay off and that we'll find our baby soon!
