So ready for spring!

It seems like at least one of us has had some sort of illness that we've been dealing with for the past month or so. This week we all got the pleasure of feeling icky! I think we caught some sort of stomach flu while visiting family last weekend. Needless to say it was a rough week and I'm ready for warm weather to get here now!

Miles discovered the purpose of his chair this week (he hasn't really been interested in it before) and spent a lot of time relaxing in it because his tummy was hurting. We went through a lot of pants this week as well so I just gave up and let him run around in his diaper instead. Poor kiddo! I'm happy to report though that we are all feeling better, at least for the moment.

New things

We got new carpet last Friday and I absolutely LOVE it! It makes our house look a lot different, which is a good thing. To save ourselves a few bucks we decided to do the furniture moving and removal of the old carpet ourselves (I say we, but it was really Dave doing most of the work). After the carpet was installed, but before we put everything back in its place, I got this crazy idea to paint our bedroom. I've been wanting to do it for a while, but just haven't had the motivation. An empty bedroom was all the motivation I needed. It always amazes me how a coat of paint can change the entire look/feel of a room. I think it turned out pretty nice. Below are before and after pictures.

Since I'm horrible at keeping a journal, but do an okay job of keeping our blog updated, I've wanted to try out Blog2Print so that we would have a hard copy of all of my blog posts. I started this blog in 2007 so I'm only four years behind! I knew it would be too large of a book if I tried to have it all printed out (it might not have even been an option) so instead I decided to break it down into years and start with the most recent year we completed, 2010. It isn't exactly perfect because the editing options on Blog2Print are very limited and of course videos aren't included, but it is nice to have it. Now I just need to work on 2009 which was a busy year for us because of Miles' arrival.
