11 months old

Whew! Time flies when you have a little one. He is now a month shy of a year old (11 months for those struggling with the math). He keeps us busy and entertained and is still just as happy as a lark.

Developmentally, he made a few more huge strides (literally) this past month.

1. He took the plunge and started walking shortly after his 10 month day. He is pretty good at it and loves to walk all over the place in our house. He is addicted and rarely crawls anymore now that he has discovered his inherent abilities.
   
2. He says a few things discriminately now. His favorite most identifiable word is three. Of course it isn't always sounding like 3, but close enough. This usually happens after we start him out with a 1, 2,...
   
3. Other things he is saying is mamama and dadada and we are now convinced he knows he is talking about us. He also says dog. Unfortunately, there isn't a written baby language, so I can't write it how it sounds. Just trust that it is just the cutest darn thing ever.
4. He is up to 6 teeth now. He now has both top front teeth and the ones proximal to the front teeth. Now more than ever, we have to remove our flesh out of his way when he chomps down.
5. He continues to like regular food and wants to eat what we are eating when we are eating it. He is also starting to show some preferences for some foods over others. We did a test and validated that hypothesis. Goldfish trumps puffs which trump cheerios with a 90% success rate.
6. He also likes to dance to songs or just to dead air. His signature move is the hip and bum shake. Sometimes he gets the whole body moving and has to hold on to something. Would love to post a video of it, but the Milester is elusive when it comes time to perform in front of the camera.
   

He continues to make us smile and laugh with his beautiful personality. He is good at entertaining himself and us with the things he does. We love him to pieces.
