Cutie

We were told that between 15 and 18 mos. that Miles would start learning more and more words and that he would change so much during that time frame as well and so far he hasn't disappointed us. It is amazing to see how much he is learning!

A few of his new words include hello, back, no, and please. Of course some of those words don't sound exactly right, they sound more like ow (hello) and pwease (please). If he hears a phone ring either on television or in our house, he runs to where the sound is coming from, puts his hand to his ear, and says, "ow." He also loves to tell Buddy (our dog) to get back when he is eating treats and Buddy is trying to steal them from him. He also likes to say, "no no no!" to Buddy when he gets mad at him. Most of the time it is because Buddy has run away from him because he is being pinched by Miles. Our poor dog gets a lot of abuse these days. Dave taught Miles to say please when he wants something and it is entirely too cute.

Another big event for Miles happened this last Sunday at church. In our church the children have to be 18 months old to be able to attend Nursery while the adults go to Sunday School, etc. Well, Dave was asked to teach a class of children (I think the 10 year olds??) each Sunday and I'm in with the young women of our church so Miles was allowed to go to Nursery two months early. I was a little worried because our church is during Miles' nap time and he can be super cranky when he is tired. The adults in Nursery said he had his moments, but that overall he did okay. What a relief. I'm sure he enjoyed playing with all the toys. I'm glad he is also getting some social interaction with other children close to his age. This will be good for him!
